Online scoring information

Online scoring is the process of assigning a score between one and five or between one and nine for each entry in a competition. The button list on the left shows the competitions that you can score.

Click on the competition name on the left to start scoring. You can score a part of a competition and then resume later.

You must score all entries within a competition for your scores to be considered.

Do I score my own images? – YES – The score you give your own images will be replaced with an average of the other scores given to your image by the other scorers.

How should I score the entries? – Use this table as a guide. When using one to nine scoring you have a little more range within each guiding remark.

9 or 85The entry is worthy of winning the the competition. This entry should have stand out features, excellent storytelling, compositional value and technically without fault.
7 or 64The entry is worthy of gaining an award, again with a strong impact, storytelling, compositional value and technically with little fault.
5 or 43Here the entry is strong and is of high quality, but only has some of the aspects described for higher scoring entries.
3 or 22 While a good entry, there are aspects that are less than high quality.
11The entry is inappropriate to the category or has serious flaws in its quality.
